While I do turn and carve one-of-a-kind bowls, vessels, and sculptures; as a custom woodworker, most of what I do is based on client commissions. Helping people realize their desires or fulfilling their needs is a large part of the great satisfaction of what I do. Need a stunning hollow architectural column, an intricate carved newel post, or 200 spiral stair balusters? I can do that for you. Do you want a special bowl or hollow vessel for a wedding or anniversary present designed just for you? I can do that. Did that venerable tree with which you grew up finally succumb and you would like a special keepsake by which to remember it? I love to do that!
You may choose one of my designs or use one of your own. I can work from an idea or vague memory, a tiny picture, an architectural rendering or scale drawing, or anything in between. If there is a piece that is the wrong size or color for you, I can make one that fits your space and your wishes. Bear in mind however: no two pieces of wood are exactly alike, but that is part of the wonder and beauty of the medium.
